Richard Murison

I am a folk singer songwriter based in Kent in the UK. Discovering artists like John Martyn and Nick Drake in my teens through the brilliant record collection of a friend was a big inspiration to get into songwriting. I love the way guitar tunings can increase the resonance of the guitar and many of my songs are made using them.

I collaborate with a network of friends: Pictured left to right are Paul Puskas Bass, Me, vocals and guitar, Luke Annesley, tenor sax, Max Bloom, drum kit and Helen Bryer, vocals and clarinet. Helen also played vocals and sax on the 2019 singles along with Shlomi Hason, trumpet and piano and RuthM, violin.

We recorded and released two singles in 2019, three during August and December 2021 and are planning new projects for 2024.

My first album was released in 2000 and was inspired by nature and the urgency of standing up for the environment.
